Reuben is a seasoned financial services leader with 15+ years of experience in operations, risk, and compliance management. Currently at Aptic Financial Group, he drives regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and risk controls. He has been pivotal in establishing systems and securing CBK approvals, with expertise in policy development, financial reporting, branch operations, and audits. His career includes leadership roles at Choice Microfinance Bank, Broad Borders Housing Co-operative, and Kenya Women Microfinance Bank.
Reuben holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from JKUAT and is a CPA. He is recognized for his strategic mindset and commitment to building scalable, compliant financial systems.
Head of Business & Partnerships – Aptic Credit Limited
Dolly Micheni is a seasoned credit and business development professional with over five years of experience in SME lending, trade finance, and strategic partnerships. At Aptic Credit Limited, she leads market growth initiatives, product rollout, and partner engagement across loans and guarantee services. Her expertise spans credit structuring, alternative scoring models, and trade finance solutions—including bid bonds, working capital support, and contractor-focused products.
Dolly has played a key role in developing high-impact loan programs and streamlining onboarding processes for SME clients. She holds a degree from Kenyatta University and certifications in data analytics and financial systems. Her focus is on scaling smart, inclusive credit solutions that power enterprise growth and strengthen Aptic’s market presence. Dolly is charged with growing the business through client engagement, loan product rollout, partnerships, and strategic initiatives across various lending verticals including credit, trade finance, and insurance-backed products.
Chief Operating Officer – Aptic Financial Group
Samo is a visionary product and operations leader with over a decade of experience building digital platforms, leading financial innovation, and scaling high-impact systems across East Africa. As COO and Chief Product Officer at Aptic Financial Group, he drives strategy and execution across credit, insurance, trade finance, and technology—designing the architecture that powers Aptic’s digital financial infrastructure. His role spans product development, process optimization, technology integration, and people leadership. He has led Aptic’s transformation into a digital-first company, shaping user-centric financial solutions for SMEs and delivering operational efficiency across business units.
Samo’s broader career includes serving as Chief Product Officer at Malaica, Director of Product at AltFutures, and leading Alternative Agency to over $10M in revenue. He has delivered award-winning digital platforms, from programmable SME banking to insurtech and healthtech innovations across Africa. A founder of Elastic FS, a next-generation digital bank for African SMEs, and a Bimalab Fellow, Samo is passionate about designing financial operating systems that empower entrepreneurship and economic inclusion. He holds executive certifications in Digital Transformation (Copenhagen Business School) and Innovative Finance (University of Cape Town). Samo’s leadership combines systems thinking, strategic clarity, and relentless execution—building for scale, speed, and purpose.
Deputy Managing Director and Legal Affairs Manager – KAPS Limited
Lawrence is a legal and corporate governance expert with vast experience in public-private partnerships, infrastructure law, and financial sector compliance. He holds a Master of Science in Development Finance and a Master of Laws in International Trade and Investment. Currently serving at KAPS Ltd, he provides strategic legal advisory and operational leadership. He has contributed to several major national and international PPP and legal policy initiatives and has served in various volunteer capacities, including technical working groups at the Central Bank of Kenya and county-level climate planning committees. He is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, Notary Public, and Commissioner for Oaths.
Former Group Director – Human Resources, CBA & NCBA
Irene is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of progressive leadership in human capital management across the banking and telecom sectors in East Africa. She has held senior positions including Group Director of HR at CBA and NCBA, where she oversaw regional HR strategy, organizational transformation, and change management. Irene has served on various boards, including 9 years on the Commercial Bank of Africa Board of Trustees (3 as Chair) and 8 years on the Council of Kenya Institute of Bankers (4 as Deputy Chair). She is known for her expertise in organizational development, mergers and acquisitions (e.g., CBA-NIC merger), and coaching-based leadership.

Samuel holds a BSc in Information Sciences from Moi University. He began his career as a system developer, analyst, and network engineer, and later transitioned into senior management. His tenure includes service at both Moi University and Kenya Airports Parking Services (KAPS). Samuel now serves as the Chairman of Aptic Credit Limited, where he oversees governance and provides strategic leadership drawn from his extensive technical and managerial background.

Patrick is a dynamic finance leader with over 15 years of banking experience, specializing in SME growth, micro-lending, and insurance. Patrick is known for building and leading high-performance teams, with expertise in loan product development, bid and performance bonds, and ERP system implementations. David is an accomplished executive leader with a strong track record in both the public and private sectors, especially within the banking industry. With over 15 years of experience as a practitioner and regulator, he has led major performance turnarounds and spearheaded reforms that promote financial stability in Kenya. His current role at the Banking Resolution Authority involves the strategic transfer of distressed banks and the introduction of a new risk rating method for Kenyan commercial banks.
